The Crime is Mine (15)
Paris in the 1930s – struggling Madeleine is finding it hard to pay rent. Opportunity knocks after a lascivious theatrical producer, who made an inappropriate advance towards her, turns up dead. Madeleine stands trial for his murder and ascends to decadent stardom – until the truth comes out. Adapted from a 1934 play and featuring a riotous Isabelle Huppert with a stellar supporting cast, François Ozon’s latest is a rollicking farce with a wily feminist edge.
