Return to Dust (PG)
Humble unassuming Ma and timid Cao have been cast off by their families and forced into an arranged marriage. In the face of much adversity, they have to combine their strength and build a home to survive. An unexpected bond begins to blossom between the pair, as both Ma and Cao, uniting with the Earth’s cycles, create a haven for themselves in which they can thrive. Banned in China, the government feeling it showed a negative view of rural life, it scored 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. “It’s a gorgeous, quietly affecting film ****” Wendy Idle, The Observer.
