Perfect Days (PG)
Hirayama lives a life of blissful contentment, spending his days balancing his job as a caretaker of Tokyo’s public toilets with his passion for music, books and photographing trees. His structured routine is slowly interrupted by unexpected encounters, causing his quiet life to sway in the wind. Oscar-nominated, Perfect Days from director Wim Wenders (Paris, Texas), is a work of fiction with the feel of a documentary. A deeply moving and poetic reflection on the world around us, celebrates the beauty of the everyday. “It is compelling and while I felt I should have been bored, I never was. Plus I’m still marvelling at the toilets.” Deborah Ross, The Spectator.”
