Leek Ska Festival – A Christmas Skank

Formed in 1999 The Skalinskis play a fusion of upbeat dub and ska with a hint of eastern european folk in the mix. In 2019 the band are currently a 6 piece eclectic combo with a tidy beat and a heavy brass section. With 3 albums and years of touring under their belt, the band has honed a live show full of energy that is sure to get you dancing. Their material features driving lyrics, drunken vignettes and adaptations of classic ska/reggae. Guaranteed to Skank up the Dance!

Roots to Nowhere, a 4-piece ska/punk/reggae band from Crewe, Cheshire established in 2009 after the split of former band Empty Pockets. Roots’ songs depict the struggles of the working class and looking at society as a whole, with hard hitting relatable lyrics and music that makes you want to move.

Broken 3 Ways, a 4-piece ska-punk outfit from the north west, a dynamic band whom always Brings massive Energy into any Dance. They come at Ska with Contemporary Drive.
