FUNHOUSE LIVE STAND UP COMEDY HEADLINER DALISO CHAPONDA

Funhouse Comedy Club starts the New Year at Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek on Friday January 3rd with another night of laughter.

Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2017 and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show ‘Feed This Black Man’. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.

Opening the night will be Roger Monkhouse one of the most experienced acts in the business. His deadpan style and quick wit make him one of the best acts out there, and he is a regular fixture at top venues all over the country, as well as performing extensively throughout the rest of the world.

Also appearing is the appealing Carl Jones, who has a natural ability of telling humorous stories, which draws the entire crowd in and personable Welshman Daf Rhys, with his personal reflections.

Compere for the night will be the delightful, fast-paced and original Harriet Dyer with her wacky, but true tales of life.
