Everything Went Fine (15) – Cancelled
We apologise for having to cancel this film. Unfortunately, we had to do so due to the film release date being delayed by Curzon.
A daughter decides how to help her father end his life in this thoughtful, understated, beautifully performed drama adapted from his long-time collaborator Emmanuele Bernheim’s memoir. Rather than agonising about the ethics of the situation, Ozon’s briskly unsentimental, but tremendously tender film is interested more in practicalities. Smart, measured, and wrenching in part, precisely because of its restraint, Everything Went Fine is a candid, unsentimental and affecting study of complicated family ties and the realities of assisted dying.
