Behold Ye Ramblers
An evening of breezy, energetic entertainment that will leave you ready to dash onto the nearest hillside and out into the fresh air!
The Mass Trespass on Kinder Scout was in 1932 and led to the opening up of so much of England’s countryside. But what came before? How did the Right to Roam come about?
From the voices of ramblers and campaigners to the songs and poetry inspired by past and current struggles, this new play, a one-hander by Neil Gore, is about The Clarion movement, the Clarion newspaper and the organisations formed by its readership, including the famous rambling club, The Sheffield Clarion Ramblers.
Warmly intimate and entertaining, serious yet wonderfully light-hearted, this production looks at an important piece of social history.
