Official Secrets (15) – Postponed
In light of the Coronavirus and concern about the health of our community, we have decided to postpone this screening until a later date. Hopefully we’re being over cautious but given the particular age range of our cinema audiences, it feels like the right thing to do. However, this decision for films does not affect other events at the Foxlowe.
We will update on future screenings as circumstances unfold. Apologies to anyone who planned to attend.

Keira Knightley stars in a morality tale for the 21st century by way of an entertaining political thriller. Official Secrets dramatizes the true story of Katharine Gun, a British translator working at GCHQ, who discovered an illegal NSA spy operation designed to push the UN Security Council into sanctioning the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The strong ensemble cast includes Matthew Goode, Ralph Fiennes, Indira Varma and Matt Smith. But this is Knightley’s film, with a steely performance as the conflicted whistle-blower who leaks a memo, with the aim of preventing her country from invading Iraq. “Gripping, articulate and hugely relevant”.
