SUMMARY:Underdogs
DESCRIPTION:\n1998. In an overlooked pub in a left-behind town, an unlikely hero and his would-be agent plot to put themselves on the map via an insane World Record attempt – the longest time buried alive. That’s five months in an oversized coffin, under a tiny beer garden in the Midlands.\nBut it’s not so crazy and it really happened.  The Guinness Book of Records wouldn’t list it because “it does not want to encourage dangerous stunts”.\nThree actors play thirteen characters in this fast paced comedy about a bizarre record-breaking attempt.  A true and often hilarious tale of courage, endurance, hope, despair, love, lies and media manipulation by Argus Angel-winners Brian Mitchell and Joseph Nixon.\n‘… on the surface about a bizarre record attempt, underneath an indictment of society’s attitude to the little people.’     .\n‘The Foundry Group’s new play crackles with sharp one-liners… subtly layered with universal themes of love and loss. Highly recommended.’  –FringeReview\n‘Enchanting comedy… the writers captured perfectly the absurdism of the piece… clever and endearing.’  Gscene\n\nThis is a Live&Local presentation.\nTickets available now at the Foxlowe and online at wegottickets.com\n\n
