SUMMARY:Eighth Grade (15)
DESCRIPTION:Receiving high critical acclaim following its Sundance premiere and a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, US comedian, actor and writer Bo Burnham’s coming-of-age comedy drama Eighth Grade is a hilarious, heartfelt and unusually clear-eyed look at the trials and tribulations of adolescence. The story revolves around 13 year old Kayla (Elsie Fisher) as she struggles through the last week of middle school. Funny, distinctive, authentic and touchingly sincere, Eighth Grade will stay with you for a long time with Fisher giving a truly exceptional (and Golden Globe nominated) performance. “The real genius of Eighth Grade is its universality – an honesty and compassion that cut across generational boundaries.” Mark Kermode, The Observer.\nUSA  2018 94 mins  Dir:  Bo Burnham \n \nCinema located on first floor – regrettably no disabled access.\nLicensed bar, hot drinks available from 7 pm.\nAdvance tickets available from Foxlowe Gallery or online.\nTickets normally also available on the door.\n \n\n
