SUMMARY:The Fabelmans (12A)
DESCRIPTION:Dedicated to the memory of his parents, Steven Spielberg’s wistful coming-of-age drama, soundtracked by John Williams – is a semi-autobiographical story about a young aspiring filmmaker. Set in post-WWII Arizona, Sammy Fabelman falls in love with the movies after his parents take him to see The Greatest Show on Earth. Armed with a camera, Sammy starts to make his own films at home, much to his mother’s supportive delight. Warm, funny and highly personal, a gorgeous revival of the memories of Spielberg’s childhood, it’s an exploration of family and the wonder of film. “It’s about family, and the complexity of family, and it’s intensely personal, moving, absorbing and full of love.” The Spectator\nUSA/India 2022 151 mins Dir: Steven Spielberg\nCinema located on first floor – regrettably no disabled access.\nLicensed bar, hot drinks available from 7 pm.\nAdvance tickets available in the cafe and online.
