SUMMARY:Limbo (PG)
DESCRIPTION:Ben Sharrock’s critically adored Limbo is a wry, funny and poignant cross-cultural satire that subtly sews together the hardship and hope of the refugee experience. Set on a fictional, remote Scottish island, four men are waiting for a decision from the government on their claims for asylum. While they wait, they try to come to terms with their temporary new home. This deadpan comedy-drama from a bold new voice in British cinema shines a light on the hearts and lives of those at the centre of a crisis that is mostly only experienced through the headlines. “Limbo is a bracingly internationalist and non-parochial piece of work: film-making with a bold view on the world but also as gentle and intimate as a much-loved sitcom … this is superlative film-making from Sharrock” The Guardian.\nUK 2020  104 mins   Dir: Ben Sharrock\n \nCinema located on first floor – regrettably no disabled access.\nLicensed bar, hot drinks available from 7 pm.\nAdvance tickets available in the cafe and online.\nTickets: £5.00\nDoors: 7:00pm\nFilm starts: 7:45pm\n\n
