SUMMARY:Stone Carving and Sculpture Course
DESCRIPTION:Saturday 24th – Sunday 25th September 2022\nAndrew Hulme (BA Hons)\nAndrew is a working professional artist, stone mason and qualified teacher with over 20 years’ experience. He has pieces on permanent display in Manchester, commissioned pieces within private collections and many examples of restoration work on some of the countries most prestigious buildings. \nThe course is designed for anyone who would like to have a go at carving stone and producing a piece of sculpture, from absolute beginners to the more experienced. You will be given instruction on how to use the tools and the varying techniques involved depending on the project you have chosen. Bring along your own design or idea, and help will be provided to create your artwork. Please bear in mind, the time constraints of a two day course when deciding on the design of your piece.  \nAll tools and materials will be provided including safety glasses. (Please wear some stout footwear as protection as the stone is heavy if it were to fall). \nThe course will run from 10am – 4:30pm on both Saturday and Sunday. \nThe cost of the course is £120.\nTo book a place (8 spaces available) please email Andrew directly at ahulme19@googlemail.com \nIf you are interested and have any further questions or require any further information, contact Andrew at the above email address and he will be more than pleased to help. \nThe cafeteria on site will be open for you to purchase food and drink.
