DESCRIPTION:A revolutionary group of activists, scientists, farmers, and politicians band together in a global movement of “Regenerative Agriculture” that could balance our climate, replenish our vast water supplies, and feed the world.\n“In a few decades, you may literally be thanking the ground you walk on for saving the planet. And then you can think back and realize that directors Josh Tickell (“Fuel”) and Rebecca Tickell gave you a glimpse of hope during a dark time.”  Los Angeles Times.\n“We would like to call it ‘ground-breaking’ but in practice regenerative farmers and gardeners try to avoid disturbing the ground more than necessary. Their aim is to build up organic matter and thus carbon in the soil using those natural processes that over the years have been undermined by excessive ploughing and industrial farming. These approaches are more widely established in North America and Australia but are beginning to take off in the UK, to the extent of being addressed in the 2020 Agriculture Act. Soil is a particularly precious resource in this area and it is exciting and encouraging that all of us, including our farmers, are looking at better ways of managing it.” Wendy Bohme, co-ordinator of the Nature Group at Moorlands Climate Action.\nUS 2020 84 mins Dirs: Joshua Tickell and Rebecca Harrell Tickell\n\n\nAdmission free, although donations are welcome.\nCo-hosted by Moorlands Climate Action\nThere will be a short Q & A session after the film\nThis screening is supported by a grant from the US non-profit Kiss the Ground.\nCinema located on first floor – regrettably no disabled access.\nDoors will open at 7pm to enable audience members to find seats whilst maintaining distance between groups. The film will start as usual at 7.45 pm.\nAt present we don’t plan to request pre-booking online, as our audience numbers are usually small enough to allow plenty of social distancing.  We will set the chairs out in pairs but guests will be welcome to move some of these to make up household groups, as long as they don’t compromise distancing for others.\nOur bar is available and drinks can be taken into the film.  Please respect the fact that others attending the film and our film volunteers may be vulnerable and maintain social distancing while in the building.  While mask wearing is no longer compulsory, we request that audience members wear masks when entering or leaving the Rainbow room.\nThere will be a fairtrade stall in the bar before the film.\n
