SUMMARY:Living the Change – Bouncing Back
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to be able to screen this film at last after the gap caused by Covid – and no time is better than now.  A film that was already ahead of its time 18 months ago, it’s still refreshingly new in displaying novel and profoundly wise ways of coping with climate change.  An ideal precursor to COP 26, which starts on 1st November in Glasgow.\n\nLiving the Change is a feature-length documentary that explores solutions to the global crises we face today – solutions any one of us can be part of – through the inspiring stories of people pioneering change in their own lives and in their communities in order to live in a sustainable and regenerative way. Directors Jordan Osmond and Antoinette Wilson have brought together stories from their travels, along with interviews with experts able to explain how we come to be where we are today. From forest gardens to composting toilets, community supported agriculture to time banking, the film offers ways we can rethink our approach to how we live.\nAustralia 2018  85 min  Free entry – donations welcome. \n\nCinema located on first floor – regrettably no disabled access.\nDoors will open at 7pm to enable audience members to find seats whilst maintaining distance between groups. The film will start as usual at 7.45 pm.\nAt present we don’t plan to request pre-booking online, as our audience numbers are usually small enough to allow plenty of social distancing.  We will set the chairs out in pairs but guests will be welcome to move some of these to make up household groups, as long as they don’t compromise distancing for others.\nOur bar is available and drinks can be taken into the film.  Please respect the fact that others attending the film and our film volunteers may be vulnerable and maintain social distancing while in the building.  While mask wearing is no longer compulsory, we request that audience members wear masks when entering or leaving the Rainbow room.\nThere will be a fairtrade stall in the bar before the film.\nThis film is co-hosted by Moorlands Climate Action who will also have a stall.\nPlease wear a mask when visiting the stalls.\n
